Proud moment, coming through! For the second time in row, we’ve been voted by Dutch consumers as the most sustainable brand in Holland in the Sustainable Brand Index-ranking. It’s making us blush a bit! Our focus is on our mission and cocoa. That’s why direct, equivalent and sustainable relationships in the chain are most important. It’s our mission to change the whole industry, which is going way too slow, if you ask us.
But, we stay critical of ourselves, because we’re not there yet when it comes to the environment. We try our best and in the past year we calculated, together with True Price, the true social cost of our chocolate bar, including all negative social impact and impact on the environment, like child labour or CO2-emissions. Compared to the industry standard we’re doing well, but it’s not good enough, if you ask us. So.. what do we do now? Well, read all about it in our annual report. And for now.. time to get our hands dirty. We’re raising the bar!
