The pavlova cake
Cake, we love cake (did yo know we also bake cakes for eachother for our birthdays?). We love 'm even more when they're made with our bars. We tried out a new recipe and...check it out: the pavlova cake was born. You can make it so quickly! You won't believe it.
What's in there
4 egg whites
200 gr sugar
1 spoon of cherryjam
500 gr of fresh cherries
250 ml of whipped cream
2 spoons of cheery jam
1 bar Tony ’s dark meringue cherry broken into chunks
What do you have to do
1. preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius.
2. You managed with the eggwhites? Pour them in a bowl and whip them up. When they get foamy you can add a little sugar. And then some more.. and more..and more.
3. keep beating the eggwhite untill you get some shiny stiff foamy spikes. There you go! It's meringue!
4. Add the cherry jam. Take it slow and keep adding little scoops while stirring slowly. This keeps the meringue nice and airy.
5. Pour out two cirkels of the merinque mix onto baking paper and but them in a baking dish in the oven at 100 degrees Celsius. You're gonna need some patience, they need about 2,5 hours...
6. Time to whip the cream!
7. When you take the meringue out of the oven, it's crispy. Wait a little while until it's cooled. Then you can spread half of the whipped cream and half of the cherry jam on there. Don't forget to stick the chocolate chunks in the whipped cream!
8. Put the second meringue cirkel on there and use the rest of the whipped cream, chunks and cherry jam on there to top it off!
